Ganga water is the best among drinking water in the measurement criteria set for human consumption. It has amazing power to destroy human infesting microbes. This healing power is much greater than the water of any other river of the world. To increase awareness to protect this holy and highly valuable river, we are inaugurating the Aviral Ganga Water Literacy March on the auspicious occasion of Diwali today to bring diverse dimensions and characteristics of Ganga water to every corner of India and water literacy of the people.

To increase the flow of Ganga water, the society has filled Mother Earth’s ground reserves with pure and pristine water and quench the thirst of its dry wells, ponds, lakes and aquifers. We are inaugurating this march from today at the Tarun Ashram to help understand, save and explain the importance of Ganga to the same society that worship of its wells, stepwells, ponds, bavdis, jhaals and lakes . This march will be held throughout the year and will conclude in the Gangajal conference to be held in Tarun Ashram on the next year Dev Utthani (Prabodhini) Ekadashi on 25th of November 2020. A further action plan will be decided in this course. This is a call for society, saints and governments to join this campaign. This march will also preserve and promote mutual harmony and solidarity among people by connecting them with the river.

Professor GD Agarwal (Swami Gyanaswaroop Sanand), while communicating with all the workers of Tarun Bharat Sangh, worked tirelessly to understand them. Due to his inspiration, spiritual-scientific-behavioral consciousness also increased among those activists. We propose to make this Tarun Ashram, ensconced in the lap of nature, the center of Ganga Water Literacy campaign and Satyagraha, which has also been a laboratory for the re-emergence of pond culture, propounded by eminent river expert and activist Shri Anupam Mishra.

It is best to start this journey from this proven site of the success of the field of experiment of Shri Rajendra Singh for the past 37 years, who has also been honored as Jal Purush or Water Man. In April 1982, he built the pond of Dhani Rampura from Shramdaan (voluntary labor), staying in Boroda. This village is connected to the border of Alwar district. There was a severe water crisis here. Rajendra ji’s first attempt to conserve water had started with Shramdaan during the working literacy program in Jaipur while he was in a government job. The confidence of constructing the first Banjara’s pond in Boroda also came to fruition in the nearby village of Gopalpura. Boroda and Gopalpura have a good mutual relationship. This may have also worked. Rajendraji did not know all these things. The work of Gopalpura village was highly successful and inspired many more. If a person is engaged in work then accomplishment is definitely attained, he strongly believes. It is not obvious yet where Ganga Water Literacy campaign will reach, but Professor GD Agarwal’s exemplary work and his continuous Ganga Satyagraha till he breathed his last, is the inspiration of all. In his lifetime, the Ganga Sadbhavana Yatra started from Gomukh on World River Day on 30 September 2018 and reached Gangasagar on 10 January 2019. At the same time, starting from Youth Day on 12 January 2019 from Gangasagar, it reached Bhikampura on 26 October 2019.

Today, on the auspicious occasion of Deepawali on 27 October 2019 Sunday from Tarun Ashram, it will conclude here on Dev Utthani Ekadashi Wednesday, 25 November 2020 . It will go to all the states, districts, towns and villages of the country. It will be conducted as diverse streams from time to time around the country. The meetings, seminars, conferences, creation of water structures in the form of Shramdan camps. The goal of this journey is to connect the people with water through this dialogue, running with all these schools, colleges, universities, government and social. Its main points are:
Relation of water and human health
Mining and river
Separating polluted and rainwater
Today’s availability of hydropower and solar energy
Relationship of river and human rights
Tree and water
Water forest and land relations

Seminars, conferences and workshops will be organized on these topics. Climate change adaptation and mitigation are possible with a judicious mix of new and traditional water related management practices and water crisis solutions. Touching on such profound themes, this campaign will also highlight the crop cycle and rain cycle relationships. The cam[paign highlights India’s efforts to teach direct methods of recharging groundwater reserves of India and to diagnose and treat every type of disease by the healing waters of Mother Ganga. It will also discuss in depth to create an environment for the avidity and cleanness of the Ganges.

This journey is not a project of any particular institution. To run this, no dependence has been placed on any institution-specific, industrialist or governments. The goal of maintaining all of India’s water as pure and pristine as Ganga water is vested in the entire Indian society. This is a call to people to contribute your time, labour, knowledge and resources in due course. Donation of funds only is not necessary.

All Indians should take this campaign as their own and manage it effectively. Let us work together to stop the dams and mining of the riverbeds and catchment areas as soon as possible and do not allow polluted water to be released iin this holy water. To rekindle the avidity (aviralta) and cleanliness of Mother Ganga, we must mobilise support to draft effective legislation to stop new dams so that Ganga will be saved. The march has been initiated by the Maa Ganga Bhakta Parishad. It is our heart-felt appeal to all to join this holy journey and make Mokshadayini Ganga pure, free-flowing and clean again with your contributions to this Bhagiratha effort.

मानव के पेयजल मापक मानबिन्दुओं में गंगाजल सर्वोत्तम है. इसमें मानवीय रोगाणुओं को नष्ट करने की अद्भुत शक्ति है. यह शक्ति दुनिया के किसी भी दुसरे नदियों के जल से कहीं अधिक है. इसलिए हमने गंगाजल की विशिष्टताओं के विविध आयामों को भारतवर्ष के कोने कोने तक पहुंचाने एवं जन-जन की साक्षरता हेतु आज दीपावली के अवसर पर अविरल गंगाजल साक्षरता यात्रा का शुभारम्भ कर रहे हैं.

जिस समाज ने गंगाजल का प्रवाह बढ़ाने हेतु अपनी धरती माँ के भूतल को पानी से भर कर अपने सूखे कुओं एवं तालाबों को पानीदार बनाया है. इसी समाज पूरे भारतवर्ष में आज से ही अपने कुओं, बावड़ियों, तालाबों, पालों, सालों एवं झीलों की पूजा यानी इनकी महत्ता को समझने, सहेजने, समझाने हेतु “अविरल गंगाजल साक्षरता यात्रा” का शुभारम्भ राजस्थान के अलवर स्थित तरुण आश्रम से किया जा रहा है. यह यात्रा पूरे साल चलते हुए आगामी वर्ष २०२० के देव उत्थानी (प्रबोधिनी) एकादशी (ग्यारस) को तरुण आश्रम में आयोजित होने वाले गंगाजल सम्मलेन में सम्पन्न होगी. इससे आगे की कार्ययोजना तप करके, आगे तय किया जाएगा. इस यात्रा में समाज, संत एवं सरकारों को जुड़ने का आह्वान है. यह यात्रा जन-जन को नदी से जोड़ते हुए उनमें आपसी समरसता एवं एकजुटता को भी संरक्षित एवं संवर्धित करेगी.

गंगाजल की विशिष्टताओं को प्रोफेसर जी डी अग्रवाल (स्वामी ज्ञानस्वरूप सानंद) ने तरुण भारत संघ के सभी कार्यकर्ताओं से संवाद करते हुए उन्हें समझने का अथक प्रयास किया था. उनकी प्रेरणा से उन कार्यकर्ताओं में भी आध्यात्मिक-वैज्ञानिक-व्यवहारिक चेतना बढ़ी. अनुपम मिश्र जी द्वारा प्रतिपादित तालाब संस्कृति के पुनः उद्गम की प्रयोगशाला भी रहे प्रकृति के गोद में बसे इसी तरुण आश्रम को गंगाजल साक्षरता एवं सत्याग्रह का केंद्र बनाने की प्रस्तावना रखी जा रही है.

विगत 37 वर्षों के जल पुरुष से सम्मानित श्री राजेंद्र सिंह के प्रयोग क्षेत्र की सफलताओं के इस सिद्ध स्थल से ही इस यात्रा को आरंभ करना सर्वोचित है। इन्होंने अप्रैल 1982 में बोरोदा में रहकर बंजारों की ढाणी रामपुरा का तालाब श्रमदान से निर्माण कराया था. यह गांव अलवर जिले की सीमा से जुड़ा गाँव है. यहां जल का बहुत संकट था. राजेंद्र जी का जल संरक्षण का पहला प्रयास तो जयपुर की सरकारी नौकरी में ही कार्यकारी साक्षरता के तहत श्रमदान से शुरु हो गया था. बोरोदा में पहला बंजारों का तालाब निर्माण का विश्वास ही निकट के गाँव गोपालपुरा में काम आया. बोरोदा और गोपालपुरा में अच्छी आपसी रिश्तेदारी है इसने भी काम किया होगा। यह सभी बातें राजेंद्र जी को मालूम नहीं थी. गोपालपुरा गांव का काम सफल हुआ. व्यक्ति काम में लगा रहता है तो सिद्धि निश्चित ही मिलती है. गंगाजल साक्षरता का अभी पता नहीं है कहां तक पहुंचेगी लेकिन प्रोफेसर जीडी अग्रवाल की अविरल गंगा के सत्याग्रह का सातत्य सभी का प्रेरणास्रोत है। उनके जीवनकाल में ही विगत वर्ष गंगा सद्भावना यात्रा 30 सितंबर 2018 को विश्व नदी दिवस पर गोमुख से शुरू होकर 10 जनवरी 2019 को गंगासागर पहुंची थी. वहीं गंगासागर से 12 जनवरी २०१९ को युवा दिवस से आरंभ करके 26 अक्टूबर 2019 को भीकमपुरा पहुंची.

आज दीपावली के शुभ अवसर पर 27 अक्टूबर 2019 रविवार से देव उत्थानी एकादशी 25 नवंबर 2020 बुधवार तक तरुण आश्रम से चल कर यहीं पर समापन होगी। यह देश के सभी राज्यों जिलों नगरों एवं गांवों में जाएगी। यह समय-समय पर विभिन्न धाराओं में चलेगी। सभाओं, संगोष्ठी, सम्मेलनों, जल संरचनाओं के पुनर्निर्माण वाले श्रमदान शिविरों के रूप में क्रियान्वित होगी। यह विद्यालयों, महाविद्यालय, विश्वविद्यालय, सरकारी एवं सामाजिक सभी के साथ मिलकर चलते हुए यह सबको इस संवाद से जन को जल से जोड़ना इस यात्रा का लक्ष्य है. इसके मुख्य बिंदु हैं:
जल और मानवीय स्वास्थ्य के सम्बन्ध
खनन और नदी
प्रदूषित और वर्षा जल को अलग अलग रखना
जलीय विद्युत और सौर ऊर्जा की आज की उपलब्धता
नदी और मानवाधिकार का संबंध
पेड़ और पानी
जल जंगल और जमीन के संबंध
इन विषयों पर संगोष्ठी, सम्मेलन एवं कार्यशाला आयोजित होंगी। नए पुराने जल संबंधित प्रबंधन, जल संकट समाधान से जलवायु परिवर्तन अनुकूलन एवं उन्मूलन संभव है. ऐसे गहन विषयों को छूते हुए भारत में फसल चक्र और वर्षा चक्र संबंधों को भी उजागर करेंगे।यह यात्रा भारत के भूजल भंडारों के पुनर्भरण की प्रत्यक्ष विधियों को सिखाने के प्रयासों पर प्रकाश डालते हुए भारत की मां गंगा की हर तरह बीमारी का निदान और उपचार पर भी गहनता से चर्चा करते हुए गंगा की अविरलता एवं निर्मलता हेतु वातावरण निर्माण करेगी।

यह यात्रा किसी संस्था विशेष की परियोजना नहीं है. इसको चलाने हेतु किसी संस्था विशेष उद्योगपति एवं सरकार पर निर्भरता नहीं रखी गई है. भारत के जल को गंगाजल बनाए रखने का लक्ष्य समूचे भारतीय समाज में सर्वनिहित है. लोगों से आह्वान है कि वे यथा उचित समय श्रम साधन ज्ञान शिक्षा समस्त रूप से दान दें. केवल धन का दान आवश्यक नहीं है. सभी भारतवासी इस यात्रा को अपनी मानकर प्रभावी प्रबंधन करके चलाएं। इसपर बनने वाले बांधों और खनन को शीघ्रतम रुकवाएं तथा इस पवित्र जल में प्रदूषित जल न मिलने दें. माँ गंगा के अविरलता एवं निर्मलता को पुनः जागृत करने हेतु नए बांधों को रोकने का कारगर क़ानून बनवाएं जिससे उनका गंगत्व बचा रहे. इस यात्रा की शुरूआत मां गंगा भक्त परिषद द्वारा की गई है. आप सबसे आह्वान है कि इस पावन यात्रा से जुड़े और मोक्षदायिनी गंगा को अपने साझा भगीरथ प्रयास से फिर से पावन निर्मल एवं अविरल बनाएं।
